Philips to Combine Lighting Units Into Standalone Company by CHAD BRAY

The Dutch electronics giant said it was exploring “strategic options” to raise capital for the soon-to-be combined LED and automotive lighting businesses, which together posted sales of 1.4 billion euros, or about $1.88 billion, in 2013.
