Senate Panel Approves Bill to Phase Out Mortgage Finance Giants by REUTERS

In a bipartisan vote, the Senate Banking Committee approved the bill 13 to 9, but it is unlikely to come to a floor vote anytime soon because not enough Democrats support it.
